About this course

Google Sheets is a free, web-based spreadsheet application provided by Google as part of its suite of online productivity tools. It allows users to create, edit, and collaborate on spreadsheets online, as well as to store and access their spreadsheets from anywhere with an internet connection.

Google Sheets makes working with large sets of data easy and functional. Not only can you create charts, graphs, and other visual representations of data -- you can also use Sheet do do your data calculations for you! Sheet is also fully collaborative and can be integrated with other Google tools, such as Google Forms and Google Docs, to create a complete workflow.

Matt provides almost three decades of experience in helping students and schools innovate. Prior to working with the LTC, Matt was a middle school consultant and has worked as a teacher, administrator, coach, and trainer for preK-12 schools in central Illinois.
Matt Jacobson serves as the Online Learning Coordinator for the Learning Technology Center. Matt develops engaging synchronous and asynchronous online and in-person training opportunities for educators and administrators. He also provides coaching, consulting, and training services for schools developing online and blended learning activities for students and staff. Matt provides administration and coaching on a variety of Learning Management Systems and many other online tools. He is a Google Certified Educator (Level 1 & Level 2), Soundtrap Certified Educator, and Screencastify Certified Genius.
